Free Salad
Feb. 22nd, 2018 06:24 amI went to Sprouts after work for some bulk seeds/nuts so I could make another round of keto granola (after bringing some for my paleo eating colleague to try, we think I can reduce the oil/butter by half or more, and use egg white instead of a whole egg-- it doesn't *need* to be so heavy or oily as the nuts will give off plenty when baking). Anyhow, while I'm wandering looking at the produce one of the staffers came up and said, "you want a free salad?" 🤑 Always!
Turns out that it was a prepackaged salad mix that should have been branded with their logo, but the shippers sent the Harris Teeter logo, so Sprouts couldn't sell them. Who knew! It's a southwest chopped salad bag with 6g net carbs if I eat it with all the bits. I plan to ditch the tortilla topping, and am undecided about the dressing. I'm thawing a package of Kroger premarinated fajita chicken to go with it.
I napped for two hours yesterday, did not workout, but finished my pants! Today, 1.4 miles, bf was a smoothie with simple truth whey protein, 1 tbsp ketologie, and 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk. Lunch is almond butter on a lc tortilla, with celery, and 10 blackberries. Snack is 1/4 cup pumpkin seed-pecan blend and 1/5 ES dark chocolate. Dinner is the salad and chicken.
This week's agenda: Google form still broken; pin and take up old pants, trace for "master pattern." Knitting and/or weaving (four rows here or there).
I'm hoping to chat with a friend today who may be able to come by and help me pin up the old pants. If she can't come by today, then I can definitely do my Datura workout. I also have online office hours and a parent phone call today.
